Our Company

Established in early 1990 at the conclusion of NZ Timberlands Ltd, Northland Forest Managers (1995) Limited has a solid history of commercial forest management. From that foundation the company continues to grow and has more than doubled the area it originally managed.

Together with contract technical staff, the company manages a multitude of forests for a wide range of clients.

The company's head office is based in Kerikeri with two district offices located in Dargaville and the Coromandel Peninsula.

Northland Forest Managers is headed by Phil Stocker who has over 30 years in the forest industry. He is competently assisted by a management team that can collectively boast over 165 years experience in the New Zealand forestry sector.

Together, the Northland Forest Managers team has the management experience to cover all aspects of plantation forestry, literally from the nursery gate to the mill gate. Our administration systems are second to none and ensure that forest produce and payments are tracked every inch of the way.

Although the name 'Northland Forest Managers' suggests the company is domiciled in the Northland region, our operating area includes forests located on the Coromandel Peninsula, the South Auckland area as well as Northland. We currently manage a combined estate of around 25,000 hectares of plantation forest throughout this area and, on an annual basis, harvest and market approximately 300,000 m3 of timber.
